Tips for better sleep

  • Be consistent. Go to bed at the same time each night and get up at the same time each morning, including on the weekends.
  • Make sure your bedroom is quiet, dark, relaxing, and at a comfortable temperature.
  • Remove electronic devices, such as TVs, computers, and smart phones, from the bedroom.
  • Avoid large meals, caffeine, and alcohol before bedtime.
  • Get some exercise. Being physically active during the day can help you fall asleep more easily at night.

Bonnell Spring System

Pocket Spring System

Choosing the right bed for you

At Restapedic, our sleep experts research different mattress systems – we produce Bonnell, pocket and composite foam mattresses.

Both of these springs systems are intended to support your back, but Bonnell springs provide consistent firm support throughout the bed, whereas pocketed springs provide personalised support because each spring conforms to the shape of your body.
We invite you to try out our different beds at your nearest retailer and decide which ones you like the most.

3 types of comfort

Our different bed styles have different firmness ratios to suit your sleeping style.

Firm

More suited to back and tummy sleepers, because a firm bed will have less comfort layers on the mattress core.

Medium

Perfect “all-rounder” bed with more comfort layers than the firm bed, but less support than the plush bed.

Plush

Suited to side sleepers as plushness supports the hips and spine. Various comfort layers to support and mould to your body shape.

Bonnell vs Pocket Springs

What is a Bonnell Spring Mattress?
In a Bonnell Spring Mattress, the hourglass-shaped metal springs are interconnected using a metal wire. This mattress is also known as an open coil spring mattress. The springs used to make the mattress cannot move independently. Bonell mattresses are the most relaxed and supportive mattresses. Apart from this, the mattress provides ample area for easy movement.

What is a Pocket Spring Mattress?
In a Pocket spring mattress, hundreds of springs are encased in soft cotton Pockets. Since the springs are not interconnected, they can move independently. The springs used in the mattress makes it more springy and cosy. These mattresses are gaining popularity for their excellent support. The pocket system consists of a far greater number of smaller springs to conform to the body shape. People with different weights can sleep on this mattress, as this mattress can adjust according to the contour of the physique.

Advantages of Bonnell Spring and Pocket Spring Mattresses
Both Bonell and Pocket spring mattresses are made with spring materials providing a solid spring structure. Bonnell spring mattresses are durable and have a traditional feel. These mattresses give nice support to the body, thereby preventing back pain. These mattresses ensure air circulation and provide great comfort.
Pocket spring mattresses prevent movement while sleeping, as the springs are not interconnected. These mattresses are durable and provide great comfort. They also improve blood circulation.

Remember, there is no “correct” mattress – each person will have different preferences, and that is okay.
